The Committees’ areas of focus include:
- Industry Expertise and Best Practices:
- Monitor and analyze trends in production operations, business affairs, and legal/financial terms across all media platforms (including digital, social, experiential, and emerging technologies).
- Share best practices for bidding, estimating, cost control, talent & rights management, and vendor agreements.
- Provide resources and training on critical issues like usage rights and music licensing.
- Talent and Labor Relations:
- Address challenges and opportunities related to talent union agreements and labor relations.
- Collaborate with the Joint Policy Committee (JPC) on talent negotiations and industry standards.
- Advocacy and Representation:
- Communicate key issues and positions to member agencies.
- Innovation and Adaptation:
- Address the impact of emerging technologies (AI, virtual production, Web3) on production processes and business affairs.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development for production and business affairs professionals.
